About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Survey Team Lead to join our land and marine operations team at Dragados S.A. UK Branch. The successful candidate will have a strong background in surveying, with experience in team leadership, quality assurance, and collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

The role will involve managing survey projects from inception to completion, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage surveying activities for land and marine projects, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with regulatory standards.\
  • Supervise and lead a team of surveyors, providing guidance, assigning tasks, and fostering a collaborative work environment.\
  • Determine appropriate surveying techniques, such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanning.\
  • Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, contractors, and other engineering-related professionals to integrate survey data into construction processes.\
  • Prepare and present survey reports, maps, and data visualizations for client review and project documentation.\
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork, protecting the well-being of surveying teams and site personnel.\
  • Manage survey budgets, track expenses, and optimize resource allocation.\
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders and serve as the primary point of contact with their counterpart customer representative.\

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as land or engineering surveying.\
  • Professional certifications, such as CSCS, SSSTS, or SMSTS.\
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in surveying, with a proven track record in team leadership and quality assurance.\
  • Strong knowledge of software programs related to survey and bathymetry.\
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.\
