Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Head of Education and Leadership

Job Summary:

Lapwing Education, a specialist therapeutic education provider and charity, is seeking an experienced or aspiring education leader to join their Senior Leadership Team as an Assistant Head of Education and Leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the leadership and growth of the organization's peripatetic Education Team across Suffolk and Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model and shape best practice education delivery
  • Supervise, coach, and develop colleagues
  • Contribute to the effective delivery of Lapwing's provision
  • Support the leadership and growth of the organization

Requirements:

  • Outstanding teaching experience and knowledge of special educational needs
  • Leadership, management, and staff development experience
  • Ability to model best practice and creative approaches to colleagues

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position within term time only, with a minimum of 30 hours per week possible for the right candidate. The post is peripatetic, working out of Lapwing's head office in Suffolk.
