Job Description

Job Title: School Caretaker

Job Type: Temporary with possibility of permanent

Location: Grantham

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled School Caretaker to join our team at The Supply Register. As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academy is a safe, inviting, and positive learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance of school buildings and grounds, including minor repair work, grounds maintenance, and cleaning duties.
  • Security: Ensure the general security of the site, including locking and unlocking the school as required, and overseeing external contractors.
  • Health and Safety: Work with the Premises Manager to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and guidance, and assist with maintaining risk assessments and management plans.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Carry out simple repairs and general maintenance, and promptly identify and make safe any hazards on site.

Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK: Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK document.
  • DBS Certificate: Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • References: Provide a minimum of two professional references to cover the most recent 24 months of employment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am - 3pm

Travel Requirements: Must have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel to multiple sites.
