Job Title: School Caretaker and Site Support

We are seeking a reliable and experienced caretaker to join our team at Aspire People, working in schools in the Grantham area.

Job Summary:

This is a temporary, part-time, and full-time opportunity for a site support and caretaker to work in primary and secondary schools. The ideal candidate will have UK-based experience working in a similar position and be flexible with their availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out security procedures for school buildings and grounds
  • Opening and closing of school premises, including gates, doors, windows, and fire exits
  • Regularly checking the proper operation and function of alarms and fire equipment
  • Liaising with emergency services, including calling out as required
  • Reporting acts of theft or vandalism
  • General maintenance duties around the school, including litter picking
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic
  • A background working in similar positions
  • Experience dealing with alarm systems and key holding

Candidates must be comfortable working on a temporary and day-to-day basis and pass the relevant checks required for working with and around children, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
