Job Details

We are seeking a friendly and patient Care Assistant to join our team at a respite service based in Staveley. As a Care Assistant, you will work alongside an experienced team to deliver high-quality care to residents in a purpose-built service with open-plan facilities and well-furnished rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all care plans are followed to provide the appropriate level of support to residents.
  • Undertake personal care duties and observation checks to maintain residents' safety and hygiene.
  • Participate in activities to keep residents engaged and entertained during their stay.
  • Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment to assist residents.
  • Oversee the health and safety of residents under your care.
  • Undertake basic cleaning duties, following relevant cleaning rotas and safety procedures.
Working Hours
  • 07:00 to 14:30
  • 14:30 to 22:00

Shifts are offered every week and can be on various days between Monday to Sunday.

Pay Rate
  • £11.44 per hour for hours worked between 07:00 to 19:00
  • £15.22 per hour for hours worked between 19:00 to 07:00
Requirements
  • 2 years of professional referencing, including 1 from your most recent employer.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates, including Practical moving and handling training.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 4 months or registered on the update service.
  • Minimum of 12 months paid UK work experience working within a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Full, up-to-date CV with a minimum of 5 years of employment history.

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, we can help you with this. We offer online training available at a subsidised fee, and the certificates are yours to keep.
