Responsibilities
  • Partner with Trading and Category teams to formulate and implement competitive pricing strategies that drive sales and maintain customer perception.
  • Develop and maintain robust data analysis and insights to inform key stakeholders' decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with category managers to protect price position and margin through external and internal insight gathering.
  • Review and analyze pricing performance, sharing insights and recommendations with key stakeholders to inform future strategic decisions.
  • Support the development of pricing confidence within the category Trading teams and contribute to the formulation and delivery of the Screwfix pricing strategy.
  • Provide training and support to category teams on using pricing tools and software to optimize pricing and drive business growth.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects and initiatives, providing pricing analysis and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Validate price benchmarking, including calculation and tracking of price indices.
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with the wider pricing team to deliver a robust and commercially driven service for Screwfix.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn and use pricing software.
  • Commercially innovative and able to think beyond the obvious.
  • Natural networker and collaborator with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to present findings and insights in a structured and compelling manner.
