Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Manage order confirmation processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Liaise with carriers to arrange collection of goods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective logistics
- Generate and maintain accurate paperwork, including transport logs and purchase orders
- Process and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely payment to suppliers
- Chase suppliers for outstanding orders, ensuring prompt resolution
- Research and identify new products and suppliers, negotiating prices and agreeing contracts
- Assess tenders from potential suppliers, ensuring best value for the company
- Match and code sales invoices, ensuring accurate financial records
- Release supplier invoices for payment, ensuring timely payment
- Administer various logs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
- Perform general filing and administrative tasks, ensuring a organized and efficient workspace
- Manage office stationery stock, ensuring adequate supplies
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, ensuring timely and secure delivery
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Excellent attention to detail, with data entry ability
- Experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Excellent computer proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering results
