About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RAP Manager to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize our reclaimed asphalt planings supply chain.

Main Responsibilities
  • Agreeing the RAP strategy with the Operations Director, CI Manager, Area Operations Managers & Commercial Team
  • Identifying opportunities to win plannings work and contract negotiation and pricing
  • Delivering works to meet budgeted RAP demand
  • Producing a plan to deliver plannings meeting customer and Tarmac requirements
  • Design, rollout, and reporting on KPIs and performance vs forecast and budget
  • Closing communication with external and internal customers to ensure excellent relationships are maintained
  • Reviewing supply and demand and adjusting the RAP strategy as required
  • Managing and promoting close communication with the Logistic and Distribution team to optimize the use of internal haulage
  • Ensuring close communication with the Commercial team to ensure that SAP routines are followed and prices, quotes, jobs are all correctly implemented
  • Coordinating Planings crushing program with the Operations Manager
  • Holding weekly RAP calls with the units to review stocks & performance
  • Assessing and planning the resources to deliver the planings recovery program
  • Ensuring documentation correctly completed and returned
  • Ensuring out of hours work and immediate action drills are in place so unplanned events are managed appropriately
Requirements
  • Experience gained within the operations, asphalt supply, logistics, commercial, recycling or environmental management industry
  • Proven ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Determination to optimize performance with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Confidence to overcome obstacles with flexibility and adaptability to manage conflicting demands
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively negotiate
  • Good IT skills preferably including SAP
  • Safety awareness and knowledge of Asphalt Surfacing and Planing process
  • Strong logistical capability to deliver the strategy in the most cost-effective way, supporting interaction with both internal and external stakeholders
