About UsCapita is a leading company in the field of Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) needs assessment, working closely with Student Loans Company (SLC) to build a new digital journey to ensure that students benefit from a seamless experience.
We are seeking a skilled Disabled Students' Allowance Needs Advisor to join our team, working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality services to students in Higher Education who are in receipt of Disabled Students' Allowance.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a deep understanding of Assistive Technology and its role in addressing challenges across a broad range of disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- To hold structured meetings with individuals to identify suitable study and support strategies to facilitate participation in their study activities, including Non-Medical Helper (NMH) and travel support.
- To evaluate the suitability of hardware, software, assistive technology, and other aids for each individual.
- To produce formal written needs assessment reports in an appropriate format and in accordance with relevant guidance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
