About the Role

Standing on Giants is seeking a highly experienced Strategic Operations & HR Lead to join our team. This senior leadership position plays a vital role in providing strategic and operational oversight across Human Resources and Business Operations functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that HR practices align with business objectives, while also promoting organisational efficiency, compliance, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

This is a fixed term maternity cover position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Human Resources: Providing guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management, recruitment, and policy development.
  • Business Operations: Overseeing client contract reviews, insurance renewals, payment tracking, team travel arrangements, supplier management, and service desk support.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in HR and business operations, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A deep understanding of HR policies, employment law, employee relations, payroll, and performance management.
  • Experience leading teams and driving initiatives across multiple functions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and a track record of maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and professionalism.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Location: Location independent, with regular travel into London, UK.
