Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the electrical engineering design at all project stages, developing technical knowledge of electrical engineering within the company, and ensuring the successful delivery of the electrical design package for all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Engineering Design: Lead the electrical engineering design at all project stages, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards and are delivered on time.
  2. Technical Knowledge Development: Develop and maintain technical knowledge of electrical engineering within the company, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  3. Project Delivery: Ensure the successful delivery of the electrical design package for all projects, working closely with the project team to ensure that all designs are completed to the required standard.
  4. Team Leadership: Act as a line manager for senior members of the electrical team, managing their day-to-day workload and providing technical guidance and support as needed.
  5. Technical Leadership: Provide technical engineering leadership internally, developing innovative concept designs, sharing knowledge, and offering technical development and guidance to others.
  6. Project Management: Manage project finances and resources for certain projects, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  7. Electrical Engineering Expertise: Highly competent in all areas of electrical engineering design, including load calculations, energy profiles, low voltage electrical distribution, equipment sizing, and more.
  8. Building Services Coordination: Experienced in the coordination of building services with architects and external design teams, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards.
  9. Project Finance Management: Experienced in managing project finances and resources, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  10. Leadership and Management: Experienced in leading a project internally and acting as the primary point of contact for the external design team, ensuring that all designs meet the required standards.
  11. Software Skills: Competent in using 2D AutoCAD and modelling/BIM software such as REVIT.
