Data Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Officer to join our team at Hendre Limited. This is a new position that will play a critical role in ensuring our organisation remains compliant with all protection law and privacy legislation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage information and data-related incidents and act as the primary point of contact for data subjects regarding privacy concerns.
- Develop and implement our Information Governance Strategy, ensuring good practice in Records Management across the business.
- Work closely with business managers to assess information risks and provide guidance on future process development opportunities.
- Previous experience as a Data Protection Officer (or similar) and an excellent knowledge of data protection law, particularly UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Proven communication skills and a valid driving licence.
- Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum DOE.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays - increasing with length of service.
- Option to work a 9-day fortnight – have a day off every other week.
