About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Neurology to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our neurology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders
  • Ensure the appropriate reception, clinical management, and referrals of all patients attending the neurology department
  • Participate in the management of the neurology team
  • Play a full part in the audit process
  • Liaise with other clinical specialists to ensure the appropriate transfer of care for patients to other specialists
  • Ensure adherence to departmental, Trust, regional, and national policies, including patients' charters, standards, and clinical governance
  • Professional accountability for the standards of non-consultant staff in the neurology department, liaising with professionals and heads of other services
