About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Neurology to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our neurology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with neurological disorders, ensuring the appropriate reception, clinical management, and referrals of all patients attending the neurology department.
- Participate in the management of the neurology team, ensuring adherence to departmental, Trust, regional, and national policies.
- Liaise with other clinical specialists to ensure the appropriate transfer of care for patients to other specialists.
- Ensure professional accountability for the standards of non-consultant staff in the neurology department.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in neurology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of general neurology, with a particular interest in Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, or neuro-inflammation/MS.
