Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Lead

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Lead to support the One Coventry Integrated Team (OCIT) service. This innovative service aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the Coventry population through a holistic and integrated approach to urgent community needs.
The successful candidate will work autonomously within the Local Integrated Team (LIT), demonstrating effective management skills and providing specialist physiotherapy knowledge to support the LITs with appropriate pathways.
Main Responsibilities- To be an integral part of the local Integrated team (LIT) and contribute to the development of community-based therapy services.
- To utilise advanced knowledge and clinical reasoning to plan and provide clinical interventions in consultation with other colleagues in the multidisciplinary team.
- To adopt a patient-centred and sensitive approach to treatment, collaborating with patients (and/or carer(s) where appropriate) in all aspects of the therapy process.
- To have specialist knowledge of a variety of conditions, including neurological, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, care of the elderly, respiratory, and falls, and advanced knowledge of at least one of these clinical areas.
- To work collaboratively with adult social care and third sector providers to ensure effective safe care.
The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional community-based therapy, someone compassionate but confident, who can work under pressure and has a desire to play a key role in this new service delivery in Coventry.
The candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.
