Job Title: Casual Children's Residential Support Worker

Location: Halifax and Huddersfield

Job Type: Part-time, Flexible Hours

Pay: £14-£18 per hour (basic salary), with night and weekend enhancements

This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about helping children to make a positive impact in the lives of young people.

We are seeking a flexible and caring individual to join our team as a Casual Children's Residential Support Worker. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children and young people in our care homes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of Registered Managers, Senior Staff, and Care Officers to deliver high-standard care that meets individual needs

  • Build positive relationships with children and young people and meet their physical care and management needs

  • Provide additional support to existing staff teams on an "as and when" basis

  • Create a safe and stimulating environment to help children develop and mature

  • Introduce children to new experiences and encourage choice

  • Provide primary care, such as health appointments and personal care

  • Plan and engage with children daily, including special celebrations and outings

  • Participate in holidays and activities with young people

  • Manage behaviour in a positive and assertive manner

  • Support education needs and encourage aspirations

  • Work with families and important persons to provide support and practical assistance

  • Carry out domestic duties to maintain a high standard of home

  • Produce records to meet statutory requirements

  • Contribute to development plans and service delivery improvements

  • Participate in training and development activities
