We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Therapeutic Apheresis services to patients and facilitating the collection of special donations within Donor Services.
Main Responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of nurses to provide safe and effective Therapeutic Apheresis services.
- Be responsible for all aspects of nursing and clinical care of patients, ensuring a safe environment.
- Develop and implement clinical standards and best practices for the nursing team.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to the team and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with donors and other stakeholders on all issues related to donation.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating changes in clinical practice at a strategic level.
- Experience of initiating and supporting the professional development of others and yourself.
- Understanding of the principles of clinical effectiveness and best practice.
- Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages.
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
- Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Leadership and/or management training or experience.
- Teaching/assessment qualification.
