Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced nurse to join the senior leadership team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Associate Director of Nursing. The role is part of a triumvirate team, providing clinical expertise and developing the direction of the collaboratives in partnership with the Clinical Chair and Service Manager.
Main Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Nursing will provide operational direction to all nurses within the collaboratives, ensuring high-quality patient-focused care and robust risk management and governance arrangements. The post holder will be an integral part of the trust senior nursing team, working with other Associate Directors of Nursing, Deputy Chief Nurses, and Chief Nursing Officer.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to drive towards developing a safety culture at South Tees. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. The trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff, including the Leadership Impact, Leading your Team to Success, Leading Into the Future, Service Improvement for Beginners, Developing your Service Improvement Skills, and Lean Practitioner courses.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess a Registered Nurse qualification, management/leadership qualification or equivalent experience, teaching and assessing qualification, and a Master's degree or equivalent experience. They will have a demonstrable understanding and experience of management, handling of data and information, budgetary management, clinical and quality governance, and proven experience of leading and delivering the patient safety agenda.
