Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant anaesthetist to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthesia services to our paediatric patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

Main Duties

The post holder will be expected to participate in the paediatric on-call rota, providing anaesthetic services to our paediatric patients. They will also be responsible for teaching, continuing medical education, and quality improvement activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with a strong focus on clinical excellence and patient safety.

Person Specification
  • 6 months advanced level experience of paediatric anaesthesia in a tertiary centre.
  • Training and experience in Paediatric Intensive Care and the transport of critically ill children.
  • Level 2 Child Protection Training.
