Paediatric Anaesthetist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant anaesthetist to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality anaesthesia services to children and adolescents, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will be expected to participate in the paediatric on-call rota, providing anaesthetic services to children and adolescents in our paediatric specialist surgical centre. The successful candidate will also be required to contribute to teaching, continuing medical education, and quality improvement activities, as well as participating in the development of our paediatric anaesthesia services.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team of healthcare professionals, and will be supported in their professional development through a range of training and education opportunities.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months' experience of paediatric anaesthesia in a tertiary centre, as well as training and experience in Paediatric Intensive Care and the transport of critically ill children. The successful candidate will also have Level 2 Child Protection Training and will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
