About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team at Milestone Infrastructure. As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all engineering activities, including engineering control, setting out, and providing direction to the workforce. You will also be responsible for leading quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Control: Manage all engineering activities, including setting out and providing direction to the workforce.
  • Quality Control: Lead quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental: Ensure the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across all projects.
  • Client Expectations: Meet client expectations and ensure excellent communication skills with all project stakeholders.
  • Survey & Engineering Control: Responsible for checking all sub-contractor and direct labour works.
  • Design Review: Review design and propose solutions by raising RFI's and communicating to relevant parties.
  • Materials Management: Manage materials ordering and approvals.
  • Site Monitoring: Work with the Site Agent in monitoring HSEQ aspects of the project.
  • Permit Management: Assist in managing the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing Permits.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records, including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations, and as-built information using AutoCAD.
  • Collaborative Planning: Input into collaborative planning for site work.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision, including earthworks, drainage, structures, and Highways.
  • Relationship Building: The ability to drive excellent relationships with contacts at all levels, including clients, colleagues, and sub-contractors.
  • Flexibility: The ability to remain flexible in your approach to the role while embracing change and helping to drive that change through.
  • Organisation: Highly organised and able to juggle priorities while multi-tasking for many stakeholders.
  • Document Review: Document review, including the use of AutoCAD for planning and take-off.
  • Safety Focus: Passionate about achieving an Injury Free Environment, choosing to work safely and influencing others to do the same.
  • Performance Focus: Driven to improve performance, doing everything to the best of your ability and making the best of every situation.
