About the Role

Milestone Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our Oxfordshire Projects delivery team. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering a wide variety of exciting highways improvement schemes throughout Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Activities: Manage all engineering activities, including engineering control, setting out, and providing direction to the workforce. Lead Quality control systems to ensure compliance with project design and specifications.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental Standards: Ensure the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across all projects, adhering to Milestone's health and safety policy and environmental policy. Actively support the Injury Free Environment (IFE) culture.
  • Client Expectations: Meet client expectations and maintain excellent communication skills with all project stakeholders.
  • Survey & Engineering Control: Responsible for checking all sub-contractor and direct labour works.
  • Design Review: Review design and propose solutions by raising RFI's and communicating with relevant parties.
  • Materials Management: Order and approve materials.
  • HSEQ Monitoring: Work with the Site Agent to monitor HSEQ aspects of the project, including the Project Health and Safety File.
  • Permit Process: Assist in managing the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing Permits.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records, including site diary, records of works activities, resource allocations, and as-built information using AutoCAD.
  • Collaborative Planning: Input into collaborative planning for site work.
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering Experience: A good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision, including earthworks, drainage, structures, and Highways.
  • Relationship Building: The ability to drive excellent relationships with contacts at all levels, including clients, colleagues, and sub-contractors.
  • Adaptability: The ability to remain flexible in your approach to the role while embracing change and helping to drive that change through.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to juggle priorities while multi-tasking for many stakeholders.
  • Document Review: Document review, including the use of AutoCAD for planning and take-off.
  • Safety Focus: Passionate about achieving an Injury Free Environment, choosing to work safely and influencing others to do the same.
  • Performance Focus: Driven to constantly improve performance, doing everything to the best of your ability and making the best of every situation.
