As a freelance interpreter, you will have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and work from the comfort of your own home.

Language Empire, established in 2001, provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK. We have been offering our services in the UK for over 20 years, covering hundreds of languages and dialects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English and another language, as well as formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages. You will be responsible for interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services, checking the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence, and liaising between the service user and service provider.
