About Our Care Homes:
Our care homes provide a warm and welcoming environment for residents, offering a range of services and activities to enhance their quality of life. As a Residential Care Kitchen Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team that prioritizes resident well-being and satisfaction.
Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and serve meals to residents, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of taste, presentation, and nutritional value. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals for residents, using fresh ingredients and adhering to dietary requirements
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and disposal
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive kitchen culture, promoting teamwork and respect among colleagues
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve culinary skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation (or equivalent experience)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Awareness of food allergies and dietary requirements
