Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Secretary. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the ENT Department, working closely with consultants, associate specialists, and other allied health professionals.
Main Duties of the Job
Key responsibilities include communicating with patients, colleagues, and external parties, dealing with day-to-day correspondence, and receiving telephone calls. The successful candidate will also prioritize their work efficiently and effectively, highlighting any issues to the Band 6 team leader.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have excellent IT and typing skills, with experience of audio typing and word processing. A qualification in medical terminology, such as the British Medical Secretary Diploma, is also desirable. Previous NHS administration experience is essential, and the successful candidate will be able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
