We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Secretary in the ENT Department at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a Secretary, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the current admin team, consultants, associate specialists, and other allied health professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
  • Manage day-to-day correspondence and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Provide administrative support to the medical team, including audio and copy typing
  • Deal with telephone calls and messages on behalf of the team

Requirements

  • RSA/OCR III WP/Typing or equivalent qualification
  • AMSPAR or British Medical Secretary Diploma (includes medical terminology) or equivalent knowledge
  • Audio typing/word processing experience
  • Previous NHS administration experience (desirable)
