The estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
As an Advanced Cardiology Pharmacist Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing a specialist clinical pharmacy service in Cardiology, which is consistent with the priorities and needs of the Clinical Service Line. You will work closely with other Lead or Specialist Pharmacists to deliver key performance indicators and ensure the safe, clinical, and cost-effective use of medicines and staff resources.
You will also be responsible for delivering specialist pharmaceutical care in Cardiology, including non-medical prescribing to a defined caseload of patients. Additionally, you will lead and develop clinical pharmacy audit and practice research within the field of cardiology, undertaking clinical supervision of junior pharmacists, medicines management pharmacy technicians, and pre-registration pharmacists.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor/Master of Pharmacy degree, GPhC pharmacist registration, and post graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent. They will also have relevant senior experience, independent Pharmacist Prescriber status, and quality improvement training. Experience of influencing members of the multidisciplinary team in delivering patient care, clinically supervising and training staff, and policy and service development will be essential.
