Job Title: HGV II Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team at Lka People Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting freight to and from various locations, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery and collection of customers' freight as assigned by the Transport Office
  • Multi-drop delivery and collections
  • Supervise the loading of your vehicle to ensure products are safely loaded and secured
  • Ensure correct goods and quantity of goods are loaded and unloaded
  • Plan your day and route in the most cost-effective manner
  • Presentation, processing, and return of customers' Delivery Notes
  • Secure and return Proof of Delivery advice notes (POD) electronic and/or manual
  • Inform the Transport Office of any delays to or whilst at work
Requirements:
  • Class 2 (C) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Tacho card
  • Experience of HGV Class 2 driving desired
  • Knowledge of Vehicle weights and legal limits
  • Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive Regulations
  • Road Traffic Laws
  • Construction and Use Regulations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
  • Flexible approach to hours of work
  • Reliable and dependable
