Job Title: HGV II Driver

Our company, Lka People Ltd, is seeking a skilled and experienced HGV II driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting freight to and from various locations and regions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Delivery and collection of customers' freight as assigned by the Transport Office
  • Multi-drop delivery and collections
  • Supervising the loading of your vehicle to ensure products are safely loaded and secured
  • Ensuring the correct goods and quantity of goods are loaded and unloaded
  • Planning your day and route in the most cost and operationally effective manner
  • Presenting, processing, and returning customers' Delivery Notes
  • Securing and returning Proof of Delivery advice notes (POD) electronic and/or manual
  • Informing the Transport Office of any delays to or whilst at work
  • Maintaining your vehicle (inside and out) in a clean and very tidy condition
  • Refueling your vehicle daily in accordance with Company Procedure
Requirements:
  • Class 2 (C) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Tacho card
  • Experience of HGV Class 2 driving desired
  • Knowledge of Vehicle weights and legal limits
  • Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive Regulations
  • Road Traffic Laws
  • Construction and Use Regulations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
  • Flexible approach to hours of work
  • Reliable and dependable
