Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our team at Hallidays HR Limited. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and leadership to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with our overall business objectives.
  • Lead and develop the Finance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality financial management and reporting.
  • Provide financial planning, forecasting, benchmarking, and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and fiduciary duties, and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the board, executive team, and external auditors.
  • Drive process improvement and efficiency within the finance function, and develop a Finance Business Partnering approach to support the executive and management teams.

Requirements:

  • CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Previous experience working at a senior level within a commercial sector.
  • Experience of working in the public sector or with local authorities would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Proven experience in successful financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience of implementing change and new systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency with Finance Systems, including Sage.
