The Role

As a Data Engineer Apprentice at Anson McCade, you will play a critical role in building large-scale data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work with high-performing Data Science and ML Engineering teams to drive innovation and insight through AI and Data across the Defence & Security sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop end-to-end data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflow orchestration using core concepts that apply across tech stacks.
  • Work with diverse data sources and types, including batch, streaming, real-time, and unstructured data.
  • Design scalable, high-performance data solutions using systems thinking and architectural design skills.
  • Deploy and manage distributed data systems, monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning for reliability and performance.
  • Coding experience demonstrating modularity, reusability, and efficiency across languages.
  • Knowledge of data security, governance, metadata management, and master data principles.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate to technical data solutions.
