At Wilson James, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Passenger Transfer Specialist. As a key member of our Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transfer of passengers with reduced mobility or those requiring assistance from the aircraft to the terminal building or vice versa.

As a Passenger Transfer Specialist, you will be responsible for utilizing company equipment to fulfill this role, with full training provided. You will work as a member of the Luton Team, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, and will be responsible for delivering or collecting special assistance passengers at the aircraft door and assisting with their transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing the Daily Equipment Check Sheet.
  • Delivering or collecting special assistance passengers at the aircraft door and assisting with their transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques.
  • Carrying out Customer Car Agent (CCA) duties as directed by Movement Control, including escorting arriving and departing special assistance passengers.
  • Providing assistance with baggage.
  • Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed legibly and submitted in a timely manner.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others and keeping those around them safe and secure. Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Previous airline and/or airport experience is desired, although not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills with an empathic nature.
  • Must be able to lift passengers in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary.

Essential qualifications include a full UK driving license.
