English Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English teacher to join our team at Positive Futures Recruitment Ltd. As an English teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching to students aged 11-16 with social and emotional difficulties, anxiety disorders, and mental health needs.

About the Role

The main purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality teaching to students, focusing on increasing academic and vocational qualifications and knowledge, while achieving independent living skills that will equip young people for the next stage in their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching to students aged 11-16
  • Focus on increasing academic and vocational qualifications and knowledge
  • Achieve independent living skills for young people
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans
  • Assess and record student progress
Requirements
  • PGCE, QTS, QTLS teaching qualification
  • Evidence of in-service training
  • Ability to teach from Entry level 2 & 3, Functional Skills Level 1 & 2, and GCSEs in English and 1 other subject
  • Desirable: Experience of working in a school environment, ideally in specialist education
