We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to maintain plant and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing PLCs, drives, and other electrical control systems, as well as completing necessary documentation and training colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, drives, and other electrical control systems
- Complete necessary documentation, including automation/control change control, daily logs, and job reports
- Train and assist colleagues and contractors
- Develop strong working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners
Requirements:
- Relevant engineering qualifications, ideally ONC/OND in Electrical Engineering
- 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and working knowledge of control systems and principles
- Experience with large material handling equipment and working with plant and equipment
- Knowledge of effective maintenance strategies, such as RCM, PM, CBM, and TPM
- Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- AP(LV) under HBT electrical safety rules or willingness to undertake necessary training
- Desirable: SCADA, Siemens, and PLCHNC/HND Electrical Engineering experience
Salary:£35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
