We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Ward Manager. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our ward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance
- Assess and manage risks across the working environment
- Promote equality and diversity within the team
- Identify deficits in skill mix and address staffing levels
- Supervise a defined group of team members and contribute to their overall professional development
- Implement, monitor, and evaluate therapeutic interventions within the care programme
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving and support patients to develop coping strategies
- Collaboratively assess and act on risks of harm, danger, and abuse
- Act as a named nurse for a small group of patients and a shift leader
Requirements:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin
- Knowledge of relevant policies and statutory requirements
- Ability to promote equality and diversity
- Supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
