At King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we're seeking an exceptional nursing leader to join our Renal and Urology Care Group. As the Head of Nursing, you'll work collaboratively with the General Manager and senior nursing team, reporting to the Clinical Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the Care Group, aligning with the Trust's values and principles.

• Manage the nursing budget, ensuring effective budgetary control and efficient resource allocation.

• Work with the Site Director of Nursing to carry out skill mix reviews and ensure the established figures meet the needs of the Care Group.

• Contribute to the development of nursing practice, ensuring it reflects research and development within the nursing and midwifery strategy.

• Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Clinical Governance lead to develop an integrated strategy for clinical governance, focusing on risk management and quality.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a higher professional or management degree at master's level or equivalent experience.

• Evidence of continuous professional development and a full understanding of current nursing issues.

• Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of delivering nursing performance and managing budgets.

• Strong organisational ability, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and develop networks and partnerships as required.
