Head Registered Veterinary Nurse

Our esteemed client, a 21-year-old established veterinary practice, is renowned for its loyal client base and excellent reputation within the community. Strategically located between Croydon and London, the practice boasts an ideal setting, situated next to Brockwell Park, with convenient access to great transport links.

The practice is a busy, 100% small animal-focused facility, dealing with a diverse range of routine and complex cases. Their success and growth can be attributed to their commitment to client satisfaction, pet care, and colleague support. They have a proven track record of supporting new graduate vets and serving as an RVN training practice. The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art digital x-ray and ultrasound facilities, linked to consulting rooms, as well as in-house blood machines, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and dedicated surgical, dental, and imaging areas.

The practice is a Registered Training Practice, dedicated to supporting nurses in completing certificates to enhance their knowledge and development. They offer a comprehensive learning and development platform and networking opportunities to facilitate professional growth.

We are seeking a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team as the Head Nurse. As the Head Nurse, you will be responsible for managing the rota, ensuring the practice's needs are met, and supporting your team. You will also be responsible for developing the nurse team's skills and education, with the practice providing support for CPD and other training routes.

This is a Full-Time role, working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with no weekends or OOH. The practice is flexible and willing to discuss working hours that suit you. The salary for this role is up to £41,000pa, depending on experience, and a relocation allowance of £2kpa is available if needed.

You may be an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse or an RVN looking for a leadership role. Regardless of your career stage, you will have access to further training and support, with all the tools to enable your professional development. As an integral part of the management team, you will assist with financial and operational performance, as well as overall team performance and engagement.

Clinical coaching qualification is desirable but not essential.
