Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AC Service Engineer to join our team in the South-East of England. As a key member of our engineering support team, you will provide technical assistance and engineering services to our regional client portfolio.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To attend sites as directed by the service controller to carry out technical assistance and engineering duties, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • To perform planned preventative maintenance, repair, refurbishment, alteration or modification of plant and equipment as contracted to the company.
  • To produce weekly reports, timesheets, etc., providing all necessary details for administrative staff to collate records, prepare invoices and manage the business effectively.
  • To participate in the regional duty rota system, enabling the company to provide a 24-hour call-out service to customers and respond to reactive calls within 4 hours.
  • To conduct risk assessments on site, where required, to achieve compliance with health, safety and environmental duties.
  • To identify opportunities to add value to clients through the provision of additional or alternative services, and report such opportunities to line managers.
  • To assist in local sales activities by submitting sales leads to the sales team, contributing to personal sales efforts.
  • To take day-to-day control of apprentices or trainees who may be placed with them, liaising with relevant supervisors regarding progress and well-being.
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with:

  • F/Gas C&G 2079-11 and City and Guilds 2079 qualifications, or NVQ 2 in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning.
  • PASMA MEWP qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points on license and no pending cases).
  • Enhanced DBS checks as required by the company, with satisfactory results, as work involves entry to schools, hospitals and other restricted establishments.
  • Excellent fault diagnosis skills in Close Control VRV, VRF, Chillers and Splits.
  • IT skills in Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, database, email, etc.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working within the A/C service industry as a mobile service engineer.
  • Geographical knowledge of the area in which the role is operating.
