Salary:
$50,000 - $65,000 per year (estimated)
Job Description
As a Nurse Professional in Adult Care, you will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating institutional patients. You will work closely with other departments to achieve standard of care through various services, including 24-hour nursing care, telemedicine, chronic care clinics, sick call screenings/triage, medication administration, patient education, and basic life supporting/emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care within adult institutions
- Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating institutional patients
- Work closely with other departments to achieve standard of care
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful as a Nurse Professional in Adult Care, you will need:
- A valid unrestricted Virginia RN license
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers with current certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Experience in a correctional setting (desired)
