About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maths and English tutor to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Maths and English tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students who require additional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one tuition to students in Maths and English, tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Work with students who may have Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or be looked after (LAC).
  • Provide educational sessions face-to-face with students at their homes or a public space, such as a library or community centre.
  • Plan and develop resources to support students' learning in core subjects, including Maths, English, and Science.
Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with SEN/SEMH experience.
  • Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with students.
  • Manage and implement a range of behaviour strategies to support students' learning and well-being.
