About the Role

At Foodsteps, we're on a mission to empower the food industry to accelerate its journey to net zero. We're looking for an experienced data analytics professional to lead projects for our clients in the food service & manufacturing industry.

This role will sit within the Professional Services team, reporting to the Head of Professional Services. As a Senior Consultant, you'll be responsible for leading and managing engagement teams, ensuring the successful delivery of sustainability projects. You'll provide strategic direction on projects, oversee project timelines, and allocate resources to meet client objectives.

We're working with a number of large food companies to help them harness their procurement, recipe, product and sales data, in combination with other strategic data (such as from their suppliers) to measure, report and manage their carbon impacts.

You'll lead the delivery of technical data-centric assignments with these clients to prepare, handle, analyse and draw insights from their data, to inform key recommendations and shape their strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client-facing projects independently, including managing relationships with and presenting to senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting and leading analysis of large datasets to derive and deliver insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Develop junior staff, fostering their growth through mentoring, coaching, knowledge sharing, and hands-on training.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience working in a consulting environment.
  • Experience working with programming languages such as Python, R or SQL.
  • Passion for the Foodsteps' mission, working with data, the food industry and a drive for sustainability.

Salary & Benefits: £52,000 - 65,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including flexible working, volunteering days, climate perks travel days, and more.
