Senior Mental Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse or Allied Health Professional to join our All Age Continuing Care and Specialist Placements Team (AACC) at NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Associate Director and Assistant Head of AACC in managing Band 6 nurses and ensuring correct processes are followed in the delivery of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare & NHS Funded Nursing Care.
- Undertake holistic assessments according to the National Framework for NHS Continuing Healthcare and Funded Nursing Care, with a thorough understanding of Section 117 Aftercare and its interrelation with CHC and FNC National Frameworks.
- Manage complex clinical cases, quality reviews, and develop personalized care and support plans in the delivery of Personal Health Budgets (PHBs).
- Assist the Associate Director and Assistant Head of AACC in responding to inquiries or requests for information from political and legal stakeholders.
- Support the management of CHC appeals process by preparing cases and clinical information for appeals at internal and external review panels.
- Keep accurate review documentation and robust electronic records at all times.

Requirements- Relevant graduate/diploma qualification, equivalent qualification, or equivalent level of skill, knowledge, and experience.
- Experience of evaluating mental and physical health needs.
- Further training or evidence of post-registration clinical experience in a variety of acute/community mental health settings.
- Experience of managing and accessing risks and reporting escalation.
- Full Driver's License.
- Experience of managing CHC reviews at both local and external independent review panels.
- Experience of working with and commissioning care for patients with complex or life-limiting needs.
- Experience of multi-agency working.
