Job Title: Marketing Membership Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Membership Officer to join our team at The Ramblers. As a key member of our Membership and Supporter Experience Team, you will play a critical role in supporting our marketing efforts to recruit and retain members and supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of multi-channel membership campaigns to grow our supporter base and income.
  • Provide administrative support for various marketing projects, including gift membership, private site, telemarketing, and our annual member survey and renewal journey.
  • Assist in the creation of e-communications, including emails to prospective members, and provide regular impact communications and surprise and delight moments to our suppliers and fundraisers.
  • Source inspirational stories from our walking groups and volunteers to support the growth of our membership community.
  • Check data from our Data Team and suppliers to ensure accuracy and provide data as needed to suppliers.
  • Coordinate across teams to ensure timely data provision.
  • Check data is correctly laser-printed on materials and raise concerns with suppliers as needed.
  • Coordinate call listening for our core calling programmes and provide feedback to suppliers.
  • Handle inbound enquiries, take simple actions, or escalate as appropriate.
  • Save relevant reports, track performance, and report notable findings to the Head of Membership and Supporter Experience.
  • Send reports and feedback to suppliers.
  • Update a weekly tracker sheet of performance across all channels.
  • Provide additional support in responding to Facebook comments on our acquisition adverts.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of basic marketing practices.
  • Some familiarity with data protection laws and confidentiality principles.

Skills:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Good communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Experience working in an administrative role (volunteer, work experience, or job).

Desirable:

  • Experience in working in membership or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and/or Excel.

  • Empathetic and patient, with a genuine desire to help supporters.
