About the Role

The Brain Injury Linkworker - Assistant Psychologist is a key member of the Brainkind team, working in partnership with prison staff and external organisations to support individuals with acquired brain injury.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administer the Brain Injury Screening Index (BISI) to identify individuals with acquired brain injury and develop Individual Support Plans (ISPs) to address their needs.
  • Work with service users to implement and review ISPs, ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met.
  • Undertake assessments, including psychometric tests and neuropsychological assessments, to inform ISP development.
  • Deliver psychosocial interventions to support service users in managing the sequalae of brain injury.
  • Collaborate with prison staff and external organisations to develop effective diversion and liaison strategies for service users.
  • Provide advocacy and support to service users, including preparing reports for criminal justice professionals and agencies.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Psychologist with specialist knowledge of brain injury and experience of working with individuals with complex needs.
