Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teachers to provide support to a pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) in a Year 2 class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the EHCP pupil, promoting their learning and development.
  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring the pupil's needs are met.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with the teacher, parents, and other professionals to ensure the pupil's needs are met.
Requirements:
  • GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
