Job Title: Chef - Bank

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, deliver hotel/restaurant standards, and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Chef to work in a warm and welcoming environment, creating nutritious and flavoursome meals for our residents. You will assist the Head Chef in creating menus, managing the kitchen, and working with residents to tailor menus around their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus and managing the kitchen
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes
  • Help create a warm and efficient environment within our home
  • Manage stock control and complete regular audits
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team
Requirements:
  • A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • A good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Good understanding of HACCP
