Job Title: Events Executive / Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Events Executive / Coordinator to join our team at the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF), the national charity supporting soldiers, veterans, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver fundraising events, including corporate partnerships and community outreach initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local businesses, civic administrations, and charitable organizations.
  • Manage supporter experiences and journeys, ensuring retention and growth of our supporter base.
  • Collaborate with the Comms & Marketing team to produce and distribute event marketing materials.
  • Support and assist Volunteer committees/advocates to encourage fundraising and engagement.
  • Liaise with local media organizations, volunteer committee chairs, and other stakeholders to promote the charity's work.
  • Ensure accurate records are kept and income is correctly batched and accounted for.
Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to use a wide range of IT applications.
  • Understanding of social media tools and ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to represent the charity's values.
  • Desirable: experience of the charity sector, particularly events, and previous experience of the Armed Forces.
What We Offer:
  • Starting salary of £32,500 per annum + benefits.
  • Hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of 2 days in the office.
  • Initial 2-year fixed-term contract, with potential for permanent employment after 2 years.
