Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of the dispensary team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily set up and meetings, providing effective communication and handovers.
  • Monitor and streamline workflow using the pharmacy tracking system, proactively managing bottlenecks and supporting the team.
  • Accurately manage stock of controlled drugs, including ordering and receiving, investigating discrepancies and documenting findings.
  • Dispense clinical trial medication and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage workload according to agreed pharmacy turnaround times and escalate as necessary.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy.
  • Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • ACPT accredited or willing to work towards qualification.

Desirable

  • NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or Equivalent.
