Production Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Leader to join our client's team in Bedfordshire. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for leading a team of shift production staff and ensuring the smooth operation of production and packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities:- First line of contact on shift for all production and packaging operations
- Shopfloor position, managing issues, workload allocation, production plans, and progress reports
- Work closely with the production lead to plan for the week's production plans and map out in advance
- Part of the duty manager on-call weekend rota - covering 1 in 3 Saturdays and Sundays
- Waste management - monitor materials and stock levels, chemical and harmful waste contract supplies
- Health and safety, risk, and COSHH assessments, food safety - part of the HACCP team
- Monthly GMP audits
- Flexible and approachable leader with experience in food or FMCG manufacturing
- Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Good at troubleshooting, problem-solving, and resolving issues
- Happy to cover a 1 in 3 weekend on-call rota - sometimes going into site if needed
- Ideal candidate will have qualifications in food safety, COSHH, HACCP, health and safety awareness, production planning, and workload allocation experience in a busy environment
