About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEMH Year 5 Class Teacher to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a class of Year 5 students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a class of Year 5 students with SEMH and ASD needs
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of the students
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants (TAs) to provide support and guidance
  • De-escalate challenging situations and promote a positive learning environment
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of the school's curriculum
Requirements
  • Experience working with SEMH and ASD students
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with TAs and other staff members
  • Commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment
